This Monday, April 27th is our next regularly scheduled Cable and Broadband Committee meeting for the Community Technology Advisory Board. We will meet at 6:30pm at O’Asian Restaurant – 800 5th Avenue in downtown Seattle (w/ free parking in the garage below!). At each meeting, we discuss topics related to the accessibility, affordability, and deployment of cable and broadband in the city of Seattle.
Here are some of the topics we will cover at tonight’s meeting:
- Discuss the specifics of how and what we can best contribute to the vision for technology, privacy and digital equity in the City’s 2035 Comprehensive Plan.
- Discuss partnering w/ Upgrade Seattle for what Sabrina Roach, Upgrade Seattle member, calls “geek-fun/pop ed ‘study sessions’ for the the public in May about DoIT’s broadband report.
- Discuss outreach regarding CTAB’s recently adopted Low-Income Internet Access position statement
- Update on 2015 workplan
